    The 12th International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME 2012) will take place on May 21-23, 2012, organized by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA.

    NIME is an annual interdisciplinary conference discussing contemporary topics in electronic musical interface design, research and practice. The NIME conference started out as a workshop at the Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) in 2001, and has grown into one of the largest and most vital international conferences within the field of music technology.

About MIReS

MIReS was an EU FP7-funded 18-month project focusing on the future impact of music technology research on academia and industry. The project created a Roadmap for Music Information ReSearch, by expanding the context of the field of Music Information Retrieval and addressing challenges such as multimodal information, multiculturalism and multidisciplinarity.
