Apr 2012
The 3rd Interdisciplinary Conference in Flamenco Research (INFLA) and 2nd International Workshop on Folk Music Analysis (FMA) will be held on April 19-20, 2012, at Universidad de Sevilla, Spain.
Following the success of previous editions, the main goal of INFLA 2012 is the creation of an academic forum for flamenco research. INFLA understands that flamenco is related to other music traditions, and research around flamenco involves different disciplines employing rigorous, wide-ranging methodologies.
In this 2012 edition, INFLA will be jointly organized with the 2nd International Workshop on Folk Music Analysis. The purpose of the event is to gather researchers who work in the area of folk music analysis, with a special focus on computational models built from symbolic or audio data, to present and discuss their work as well as exchange views on the topic.
